2017 Playoff Format

The top 6 teams automatically qualify for the playoff bracket.
Teams seeded 7-10 complete in a play-in series the determine the final two spots in the playoff bracket.

• The play-in series are a best-of-two, lower seed must win twice, higher seed only needs to win once.
• The 7v10 winner qualifies as the #7 seed in the bracket.
• The 8v9 winner qualifies as the #8 seed in the bracket.

Each playoff matchup after the play-in series is a best-of-three. The higher seed gets the choice of home or away in Game 1 and Game 3, while the lower seed gets the choice in Game 2.
