2019 Playoff Format
All playoff matchups are a best-of-three series. The higher seed gets the choice of home or away in Game 1 and Game 3, while the lower seed gets the choice in Game 2.
Separate brackets for "upper" teams and "lower" teams.
- The upper bracket features the top three seeds, plus the winner of the 4v5 play-in series.
- The lower bracket features the loser of the 4v5 play-in series, the #6 and #7 seeds, plus the winner of the 8v9 play-in series.
The top 7 teams automatically qualify for the playoff bracket.
Teams seeded 4 & 5 compete in a play-in series for entry into the upper bracket or the lower bracket.
- The play-in series is a best-of-two, lower seed must win twice, higher seed only needs to win once.
Teams seeded 8 & 9 compete in a play-in series the determine the final spot in the playoff bracket.
